this painting is an exploration of the transition from night to day, the quiet hours that some of us feel most like ourselves. since i was super young in grade school i would stay up until 4 in the morning just to experience the peace and safety of a world seemingly still asleep. shout out to all of y’all who’s favorite hours are between 10pm and 4am! you’re not alone.
